Business Meetings

 

An ideal venue for business meetings as we are close to the M25 and the A303 with the advantage of your delegates not getting stuck in traffic as they try to get in to Taunton!  Our large function room can cater for meetings of all sizes ranging from small committee meetings through to meetings for 100 delegates. 

In addition the adjacent garden allows for small group work to be undertaken out in the open air in the sun! 

 

Our function room can accommodate up to 80 delegates with ease. There is also direct access out into the pub garden enabling groups to use this area for ‘break-out’ exercises if the weather allows.

This room is ideal for training courses, conferences and for meetings involving large teams.

Room Hire –

  • £55 for a half day and £100 for a full day (this charge is reduced or waived completely depending upon the number of delegates and what food is ordered for the group)
  • Tea and coffee on arrival @ £2 per head
  • Tea and coffee throughout the day @ £4 per head (in this price squash and water provided free of charge)
  • Buffet lunches available at £5 / £7.50 / £10 per head alternatively we can accommodate pre-orders from the Main Menu. Feel free to discuss your individual requirements with our professional and supportive staff who will facilitate your day for you.
  • Some groups have requested Bacon Rolls on arrival – these can be provided at a cost of £3 each.

Special Parties

Our Function Room is perfect for that large gathering.  We can cater for set meals for up to 80 people with ease or you can have a more informal party with a band or a disco to add to the entertainment. 

Our buffets are second to none and we can tailor the catering to suit your individual requirements.

For a large family gathering for all ages the Function Room is adjacent to the beer garden and the extensive children's playground. 

 

 

Book our function room for that special party – it may be to celebrate a Wedding, a Naming Ceremony or Christening or it might be for a Birthday Party or a special Anniversary. If you require a DJ or a magician we have some contacts who can help you find the entertainment you require.

  • Buffets available at £5 / £7.50 / £10 per head.

We also cater for Wakes and Life Celebrations.

Special Events

We can host any type of special event ranging from business meetings and parties to formal meetings - we have also been approached to host antiques and wedding fairs.  We are also planning on holding beer, cider and music festivals in the future.

Businesses, Charities and Clubs have hired our function room for a variety of special events including Casino Nights, Race Nights, Quiz Nights, Evenings of Magic and also even for a Scalextric Race Night.

Once again if you have a special evening in mind we do have contacts who can organise the above evenings for you and reduce the hassle of planning everything yourself.

Live Music Evenings

We have already hosted a number of successful music evenings and will be hosting regular events in the future. 

Our next live music will see the return of Ross Kirk on Thursday 18th August.

A number of live acts have already appeared at The Nags Head Tavern and we are busy putting together a varied programme of live music evenings for our patrons – please keep an eye on the Events Page on our website and also on our Facebook page for future events.

Skittles Alley

We have re-instated the old skittle alley in the function room.  This is available either as a stand-alone skittles alley or as part of a bigger function.  If you want a party in the function room and skittles at the same time you can all enjoy the fun together as the skittles alley takes up one-third of the function room (along the right-hand, road, side of the room).
